Denmark Street Heroes w/David Beer
David’s love of radio stemmed from listening to the offshore pirate radio stations as a
child and his first foray into broadcasting and DJing was at university, while studying
for a music degree.
After playing keyboards in various rock bands, he became well known in West End and touring theatre, as Musical Director of rock theatre shows such as Rocky Horror Show, Grease, Little Shop of Horrors and Fame. He has also worked as a session musician.
Over the years he has worked with rock legends: Roger Waters and collaborated with Brian May and Roger Taylor as Musical Director for the first UK tour of We Will Rock You in 2009. Returning to radio in recent years, he has been broadcasting on Planet Rock.
With his vast knowledge of the British music scene from the 60s to the present day, David is thrilled to present 'The Heroes' show here on Denmark Street radio.
