Following the enormous success of Sambroso Sambroso’s first few radio shows on Denmark Street Radio (DSR), the station is thrilled to present a Cuban Carnival extravaganza at The Lower Third on Saturday, May 13th. This exciting event, hosted at our home “The Lower Third”, will feature an all-star line-up of DJs, including DJ Flecha, DJ Ricafed, and DJ Guille El Cubanaso, as well as the legendary percussionist Oreste Noda. Starting at 7:30 PM, these amazing DJ’s will bring the vibrant sounds of Cuba to the heart of the British music scene for one unforgettable night.

Noda’s Cuban Carnival is the colourful nucleus of London’s thriving Cuban community and music scene, this event promises an authentic Cuban Carnival experience. DJ Flecha, a renowned figure in the Cuban music world, will kick off the evening with his signature blend of Cuban salsa, timba, and reggaeton. He will be followed by DJ Ricafed, a respected tastemaker in the Latin music scene, who will showcase his diverse range of traditional and contemporary Cuban sounds. The night will culminate with DJ Guille El Cubanaso, an icon in the world of Cuban dance music, who will keep the crowd on their feet with his unique mix of classic and modern hits.

Born and raised in Matanzas, Cuba, Oreste Noda began his musical journey as a trombone player, performing with iconic artists such as Buena Vista Social Club’s late crooner Ibrahim Ferrer. However, he discovered his true passion in the congas and quickly became Cuba’s go-to conguero. Noda’s unique rhythmic abilities have made him an integral part of highly-regarded bands that tour beachside Varadero’s hotels, and he is now one of the UK’s premier percussionists. As the founder of the renowned London-based Cuban party tribe Sambroso Sambroso, his presence at the Cuban Carnival is sure to add an extra touch of authenticity and excitement.
