Mexican Rockers Margaritas Podridas Set to Ignite The Lower Third this July

Well here’s a banda that certainly brings that to the table, the marvellously named Margaritas Podridas, a triumphant trio hailing from Hermosillo, Sonora.

Comprising Carolina Enríquez on bass and vocals, Esli Meuly strumming the guitar, and Rafael Armenta behind the drums, they first burst into our musical consciousness with their 2018 debut, “Porcelain Mannequin”. However, it’s their eponymous second album that has truly carved their place in the music scene.

This year alone, they’ve shared stages with the likes of The Smashing Pumpkins, Deafheaven, and Turnstile, plus some of Mexico’s finest home-grown talents. Their latest track, “No Quiero Ser Madre”, is an audacious, punk-infused belter, currently setting our airwaves alight, and their upcoming London gig promises to be a sizzling affair.
