To celebrate the Launch of DSR – Vertaal’s Nu-Jazz Sound Captivates Listeners with New Singles and a DSR Takeover Show

In addition to releasing their new singles in April and May, UK nu-jazz duo Vertaal has also recorded an exclusive take over show for Denmark Street Radio (DSR) to celebrate the launch of the station on Denmark Street. Vertaal, who have gained a dedicated following with their album Paradigm Shifting on Amazing Radio, will be showcasing their new music and their unique blend of nu-jazz for DSR listeners.

The group, consisting of Theo Howarth and Ajit Gill, has received widespread acclaim for their innovative sound and has been praised by industry heavyweights such as Tony Minvielle of Jazz FM and DJ Karl Bos of Deeper Cuts on Mixcloud. Jazz Re:freshed and Jazz America (VOA) have also named Vertaal as “ones to watch,” with the latter stating that they are “defining what jazz is this century.”

Vertaal’s two new singles, “You Lose Something” and “To Gain Something,” are conceptually linked and explore finding the silver lining in uncertainty and change. The tracks will feature Harry Pearce on bass, Parthenope on flute and sax, Simon Todd on congas, and Luca Giannasi on guitar.
